#8 My New Art Style: Bye Friends?

My New Art Style #3 Topic: Creativity  Learning Outcome 1: Identify areas of strength and develop areas for growth  I was recently notified that two of my closest school friends might be moving away next year. These are two of my most recent portraits of them from before I found out. My goal was to just make them as recognizable as possible.

#7 My New Art Style: Summer Portraits

My New Art Style #2  Topic: Creativity  Learning Outcome 1: Identify areas of strength and develop areas for growth  Since Spring Break, I've been doing distance learning and I've been apart from my school friends all summer. I also hadn't done much creative work for most of my sophomore year so I decided to use my appreciation for my friends as inspiration. I base my portraits on yearbook photos which was sort of a challenge since most of those photos come out looking awkward or unnatural. The last time I had tried drawing portraits was in my first semester of my freshman year for art. I feel like I had improved and I hope I will make time to continue this project.  Portrait for art class from Fall 2020. I used a live model for this portrait.    Four portraits from Spring and Summer 2020. Yearbook photo references.
